SHREDVETS - DECEMBER 2025 WINNER
Every month, 101.5 WPDH, MHA of Dutchess County and Mid-Hudson Pump shine a spotlight on a different veteran organization and donate $500 to help them continue their work. This month, we've selected Breezy Grenier and her organization, ShredVets.
ShredVets is an organization that provides Hudson Valley veterans with free participation in skiing and snowboarding at several local Mountain ski areas.

For Immediate Release
The Veterans Sportsmens Association (VSA) has partnered up with Team River Runner (TRR) to establish the Hudson Valley Team River Runner (HV TRR) Chapter.
Team River Runner is the LARGEST adaptive and therapeutic paddling program across the nation for veterans, active duty and their families.
Dateline
Poughkeepsie NY – 15 July 2025
The VSA has partnered up with TRR to develop and implement creative, healing and empowering programs for Veterans in the Hudson Valley as they recover from complex issues due to their service to our nation, by pioneering the design and construction of adaptive paddling equipment to empower veterans with motor disabilities as well as innovative methods for teaching and guiding the visually impaired. All HV TRR watersports programming will be free of charge for disabled veterans and Active-Duty service members.
The HV TRR Chapter will coordinate Veterans Canoeing, Kayaking and Watersports programs between New York City and Albany, as well as in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania along the Delaware River. HV TRR will offer multiple events and workshops for Veterans and Active-Duty Personnel in conjunction with other regional TRR Chapters and in support of the National TRR program by supporting the LARGEST adaptive and therapeutic paddling program across the nation for veterans, active duty and their families. All local events will be posted on the HV TRR webpage and in association with HV TRR social media accounts and the National TRR Organization.
Kayaking instructors, Veterans and volunteers are encouraged to join us as we form this new HV TRR Chapter here in the Beautiful Hudson Valley!

STOCK DONATIONS
The VSA Now Accepts Donated Stocks

DONATING STOCK TO A CHARITY PROVIDES SIGNIFICANT BENEFITS TO BOTH PARTIES
If a supporter donates a stock that has increased in value, the donor will not have to pay capital gains tax in the future and the charity will not either. What’s more, the donation is tax-deductible if the donor itemizes their taxes.
